Hey y'all! wanted to touch base here about the upcoming chapter and my plans for Hearts Faster Than Light this year.

First order of business, I've been working very hard to release chapter 12 within the first month of the year and well... obviously this didnt happen! Earlier on in this project, when I realized that a chapter I was planning was going to be much longer than I initially thought, I would split it up into smaller parts. While it crossed my mind to split this one up as the end of the month was approaching, I decided it was too important to keep this chapter in one piece.

what this means for chapter 12 is that you can expect to see it closer to the end of this month, though I'm hoping I can squeeze it out a bit sooner, because i have a couple other little projects i need to work on.

This brings me to the second order of business, which is the release schedule of further chapters, and the projected finish date of this project. Working on this has been a learning experience, specifically in being my own boss. I've burned my self out quite a few times, which leads to the promptness of my updates being pretty inconsistent. With this in mind, I took some time to reflect in December, and I think I have a clear grasp on my limitations now, So, I'm going into this new year with the goal of releasing one new chapter every month.

yes this means i did break my new years resolution on my first month, but this chapter is much larger than the usual fare, and I'm still on track to be finishing Hearts Faster Than Light this year! provided everything goes according to plan, the final chapter will be up in December of this year.

I definitely have my work cut out for me, and while my close friends are supporting me in my efforts, It would greatly help me keep everything moving if I could count on some monthly support on Patreon. I haven't been pushing it much here because its not active at the moment, but once I'm ready to release chapter 12, I'll also be rolling out my revamped Patreon page, so please keep an eye out for that!

anyway, i hope y'all don't mind waiting just a bit longer to see what the Galactic Psions Summit has got in store! Lesedi has got her performance spot after all, and then Aniyah will be revealing her psinet periphery device to the masses! Will the scrambler appear like the crew suspects, or are they too afraid of the Galactic Overmind? What is so special about Aniyah's invention to warrant the criminals attention anyways? All these questions, and they only scratch the surface of the mysteries weighing Dawn down. Will they crack under the pressure?
